Katie Hazlett brings nearly two decades of expertise in federal appropriations and successfully driving legislative initiatives in Congress. She has held senior positions in the federal government’s legislative and executive branches.

Maya Harris-Cameron is a veteran government relations executive with more than 20 years of experience shaping federal legislative strategy, driving congressional appropriations, and leading complex interagency coordination.

MACKENZIE CAMPBELL

LEGISLATIVE ASSISTANT AND OPERATIONS MANAGER, THE RESERVE COMPONENT

Mackenzie Campbell’s path into federal advocacy began with a year-long internship at a lobbying firm in 2022, where she discovered her passion for fostering bipartisan solutions on Capitol Hill. Mackenzie supports clients by managing outreach, scheduling, research tasks, and overseeing interns.

SOPHIE SCOTT

LEGISLATIVE AIDE AND RESEARCH ASSISTANT, THE RESERVE COMPONENT

Sophie Scott is the Legislative Aide and Research Assistant at The Reserve Component, where she supports legislative research and outreach efforts for clients. She previously served as a Government Affairs Coordinator at TRC, managing stakeholder engagement and policy tracking.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COORDINATOR, THE RESERVE COMPONENT

Jake Fales is the Government Affairs Coordinator at the Reserve Component. He leads stakeholder outreach on key policy priorities, builds coalitions, and works with legislators and organizations across the country to bring our clients’ priorities across the finish line.

ALEXA FORBES

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COORDINATOR, THE RESERVE COMPONENT

Alexa Forbes is a Government Affairs Coordinator at The Reserve Component, where she focuses on drafting legislative updates and coordinating outreach for clients. She is currently a junior at the University of Maryland, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in government and politics, looking to pursue a career in law.
